Acupressure encourages the release of muscle tension, increases the circulation of blood and energy throughout the body by accessing the energy through points and meridians. Acupressure uses many of the same points as acupuncture. However, acupressure uses the hands rather than needles. With acupressure, we believe that the body is the miracle and when it is allowed to flow well with no blockages, the body will heal and feel the best.
Qigong is a traditional Chinese practice that combines gentle movements, breathing exercises, and meditation to improve physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy.” So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.” While it is spiritual in nature, Reiki is not a religion. It has no dogma and there is nothing you must believe in order to experience its healing benefits.
Reiki is administered by “laying on hands”, with or without touch, working with the unseen life force energy that flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s
life force energy is low or stuck in our body, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress; if our life force energy is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
